Backcountry Communities Thriving
The mission of Backcountry Communities Thriving is to ensure the well-being of each child, family and individual in Julian and surrounding rural areas through advocacy, service and support to foster a thriving community.
The JHS Volleyball Team Needs Your Support
The Julian High School girls' volleyball team is in desperate need of new practice equipment, protective gear, uniforms and more. The team has been operating on limited funds for years and now needs to replace torn balls, an unregulated net system and other items necessary for them to be successful this season. Please support them by donating today. Your donation will be used to purchase the equipment they need. Donations are accepted via check (make the check out to Backcountry Communities Thriving and mail your check to our post office address at the bottom of the page), Donorbox, PayPal, Venmo (see links below) or through our current Facebook/Instagram fundraising campaign. Please be sure to notate that you are donating to the "JHS Volleyball Team" and include your contact information. All donations over $75 will receive a tax deductible receipt from Backcountry Communities Thriving.

Donate to the Abigail College Scholarship Fund
We would like you to meet Abigail Yenawine. If you don't know her already, she is a 2023 Julian High School graduate, Miss Julian Princess and an amazingly strong young woman. Abigail tragically lost her father shortly before her high school graduation ceremony last week. Still reeling from the loss of her mother last year, Abigail needs our support.
